Marked Men Full Movie Review:
This book has always been one of my all-time favourites, so naturally, I had been waiting for years to see it come alive on screen. But honestly, the movie adaptation was such a letdown. Within the first few minutes itself, I could feel the disappointment setting in. The story in the book was so beautifully written, almost flawless and watching it being twisted and watered down for the screen was painful. If I were the author, I’d feel completely betrayed by what they’ve done to it.
I do understand that movies can’t always follow every detail from the source material, but this one strayed too far. It lost the heart and depth that made the book special. I actually had to pause the film multiple times just to message my friends about the changes and every one of them felt the same frustration. Such a wasted opportunity.
